Yesterday, there was an unusual happening at Oakwood School. One English  teacher asked students to write about what happened. This was written by one of her students.

昨天,在Oakwood學校發生一件很罕見的事.一位英文老師要求學生寫下發生甚麼事.這一篇是她其中一位學生寫的.

Something unusual happened at our school today. I was in math class as usual at that time when suddenly the fire alarm went off !  Some people were scared, and screamed, but I didn't. I was startled , but was too curious to be scard. In fact, I thought it was just a drill. For me, the worst part was the firealarm itself. It was so loud!

今天我們學校發生一件罕見的事.像往常一樣在那個時候我在上數學課,突然火警鈴響了!一些人很害怕,甚至尖叫,但我沒有.我被嚇傻了,但我太好奇以至於不是很害怕.事實上,我想這只是個演習.對我來說,最糟的部份是警鈴本身.實在太大聲了!

Our math teacher told us to stay calm and follow him out of the school. When we got into tha hall, the alarm was even louder, so I stuck my fingers in my ears. We walked very quickly out the back door and into the parking lot .Then, we could see what was happening.

我們數學老師告訴我們要保持冷靜然後跟著他走出學校.當我們走到大廳時,警鈴變的更大聲,我用手指塞住我的耳朵.我們快速的從後門離開到停車場.我們可以看到到底發生甚麼事

It was not a drill! There was smoke coming from two cars in the parking lot. It looked like they were on fire! Luckily, police cars and fire trucks soon arrived and the fire was quickly put out.  When things were safe again, the principal talked to us. He said that the fire was caused by a problem in one car's engine. He also said school would be canceled for the rest of the day. When the students hears that, they all cheered!

這不是演習! 在停車場兩台車在冒煙.看起來像著火了!幸運的是,警車和消防車很快的抵達並且很快撲滅這場火.當再次確認所有事情是安全的,校長告訴我們.他說火警的原因是車子引擎的問題.他也說學校將取消今天剩下的課程做清潔.當學生聽到這裡,他們都在歡呼!

Summery

The author was in math class as usual at that time. Sunddenly, the fire alarm went off. Everybody didn't know what happened. The math teather told them to stay clam and followed him. They walked very quickly out the back door into the parking lot. At the time,They could see what was happenig.

There was somke coming from two cars that were on fire. The Firefighters soon arived and put out the fire.When things were safe again, the principal said the school would be canceled for the rest of the day and all the students cheered!
