For hundreds of years, people thought that the Sun moved around the Earth. This was only natural because when we see the Sun rise in the morning and set in the evening, we can only think that the Sun is moving around us.

幾百年前,人們認為太陽是繞著地球轉的.這是理所當然的,當我們早晨看到太陽升起,在傍晚時降下.我們一般認為太陽正繞著我們運轉.

But one man didn't agree whith this idea. He said if the Sun is moving around the Earth, we cannot explain the movement of Venus . This man finally concluded the Sun doesn't move around the Earth, but the Earth moves around the Sun. This  man's name is Copernicus.

但有一個男人不同意這個想法.他說如果太陽是繞著地球運轉,我們怎麼不能解釋金星也在運轉.男人最後終於證明了太陽不是繞著地球運轉,但地球是繞著太陽轉.男人的名子是哥白尼.

At first,people thought Copernicus was crazy. They said he was a liar and he must be killed. And so, Copernicus was burned to death for saying that the Earth moved around the Sun.

當時,人們認為哥白尼瘋了.他們說他是一個騙子而且一定要殺了他.不久,哥白尼因為發表地球繞著太陽運轉而被燒死.

Later, though,people learned that Copernicus was in fact telling the truth.

最後,人們意識到哥白尼其實說的事實話.

Summary

Long ago, a man was intrested in astronomy. He found the Sun didn't move around the Earth. He concluded a opinion that the Earth moves around the Sun.

At the time, He tried to tell people the truth. But people didn't argee with his idea. They thought he was a liar, carzy and didn't respect God.

Finally, the man was burned to death for saying that the Earth moved around the Sun.

The pool man's name was Copernicus.
